Concern / Struggle

With previous experience of Kevin’s management style, this client knew that some of the “basics” were not in place, and needed a snapshot of the gaps / concerns.

What we did

With the basic people systems not in place – it resulted in unnecessary use of time, resources + lost money (fun fact: manual and poor attendance capturing is known to cost organisations up to 3% of their payroll).

the solution

More accuracy in recording of time (with staff being paid correctly + unnecessary overtime being addressed). Future system upgrades also exposed a longer-term need for the development of staff – in order to keep up with the business changes.

This company approached us to assist with an absenteeism problem they were having. Too many staff were abusing the system + it was impacting the ability for the business to run properly.

What we did

Working with the company, an analysis of the concern areas were undertaken. Remedies were put in place to address the relevant issues.

Absenteeism was reduced by 10%.

Kevin founded Vision Consulting in 2012 after 25 years’ of experience in the Human Resources sector. Kevin has a broad set of HR and Business skills having worked in diverse industries such as electronics, plastics, confectionary, agri-processing and retail. Having worked at an Executive Level and as a Company Secretary (Board Designate), Kevin’s strength is the ability to adapt strategic vision into practical business initiatives which are designed to meet specific organisational needs. Highly respected in the East London community as a Human Resources Specialist, he is often asked to present at workshops. He is a member of the Border Kei Chamber of Business and is registered with the SA Board for People Practices.
